  • Beyond the Book: Textuality after the World Wide Web. This is an option module running in semester two. The syllabus is here.

2012-2013

  • Hacking the Book (module co-convenor). This is now a second-year undergraduate module that provides a theoretical and practical introductrion to the digital humanities. I co-teach the course with Oliver Mason. You can see the syllabus here.
  • Victoria’s Secrets (module convenor). This is a third-year undergraduate module exploring the different ways secrecy informs the literature of the nineteenth century. This year’s syllabus is here.
  • Writing and the World (module convenor). This is a second-year undergraduate module that introduces students to the range of writing from the nineteenth century.
  • Literary Aesthetics After 1800. This is a new first-year module, part of our new undergraduate curriculum in English
  • Critical Practice. This is a also a new first-year module, focusing on study skills and methodology.
  • Victorian Modernity (module convenor). This is a postgraduate module on the MA English and MRes Literature and Modernity.

2011-2012
